Motor Vehicles, Motor Cycles, Travel Trailers and Motorhomes

Penguin Shipping has arrangements with agents in USA and South Africa to arrange shipment of your vehicles or boats from the country of despatch to the UK. Cars can be shipped RO-RO from certain parts of the world or containerised. In some cases consolidated or shared shipment of vehicles in containers provides savings in freight and handling costs.

Containerised Cargo (FCL&LCL) and Air Freight

Penguin Shipping, through their agents in can arrange the shipment of goods from many countries purchased on EX-Works and FOB Terms. Whether as a FCL (Full container load) or LCL (Less than a container load) Penguin Shipping can arrange through shipping lines and cargo consolidators.

Air freight shipment of general cargoes through scheduled services, cargo aircraft and air charter can be arranged by Penguin Shipping. They have considerable knowledge of the market and can also handle by air freight motor vehicles and urgent equipment including yacht masts.

Break Bulk and Out Of Gauge Cargo

Penguin Shipping can organise the shipment of ‘Break Bulk’ cargoes through overseas agents but also contacts in the Charter market, providing purpose built vessels for suitable cargoes such as yachts, commercial craft, out-size engineering equipment, ship propellers and similar ‘out-of-gauge’ items.

*‘Out-of-gauge’ refers to cargo too large to fit in an ISO (International Organization for Standardization) container which come in 20ft, 40ft and 45ft lengths. Many cargoes can be stowed on Flat Racks, Platforms but shipping lines look to recover ‘lost-slots’ on cellular vessels caused by the overhang of the cargo from the footprint of the flat rack or platform or height of a standard unit. Penguin Shipping will negotiate the most economic rates or consider a break bulk solution.
